3D animations, powerful fuel for fundraising

As with 2D vs. 3D drawings, 3D animations produce a higher level of realism that is challenging to achieve in 3D renderings. 3D animations can draw viewers “in” to the setting far more effectively than still images. This is not only helpful to engage viewers, it can also showcase the overall standard and vision for your business, as well as for your clients.

3D animations are an especially effective tool for fundraising across a variety of sectors, namely church and non-profit capital campaigns, and school and college/university bond elections. Animations allow the audience to visualize the completed project, whereas floor plans, elevations, sections, and sometimes even 3D renderings may not be readily understood by all viewers.

Trinity Episcopal Church in The Woodlands hopes to dedicate their first new building in spring 2018. As part of their capital campaign, the church asked our client, the design firm Merriman Holt Powell Architects, to develop the design presentation to show the congregation the buildings and improvements that would come from a successful campaign. The firm engaged PRISM to produce a 3D animation for the new Children and Youth Building, within a tight three-week schedule. Click here to view the animation. Randall Redd, the leader of the capital campaign committee, said this of the animation:

“I have worked in both B-to-B and consumer marketing for 25 years and found the PRISM team to be at the top in professionalism, collaboration, and creativity.  The video for the Trinity Woodlands Capital Campaign was universally thought to be on-point for the mission of the church, the needs of the campaign, and the culture of the parish.”

Ride and gamble for good causes

The 2017 BP MS 150 is just one month away. Cyclists have likely logged countless miles in the saddle preparing for this grueling 2-day bicycle ride from Houston to Austin. This will be the fifth year PRISM sponsors riders from the development and design industries. If you are a current PRISM client participating in this worthy cause, please call us for a donation to your fundraising effort!

PRISM is also sponsoring an entirely different kind of fundraising event. If you would rather tempt lady luck than ride a bicycle, join the fun when the Building New Foundations committee of The Good Shepherd hosts their annual poker tournament. All proceeds go toward the construction of the new residential treatment center. We’ll be continuing to support this great organization at this event as a Full House Sponsor. Register now to play or sponsor! We look forward to seeing you there!
